What Ormetta collects

Ormetta may collect account information such as email address, username, display name, authentication identifiers, profile image, and account status. Ormetta also processes content you create, including Ormette titles, descriptions, photos, media source type, location attached to an Ormetta, safety hints, timestamps, reports, blocks, likes, follows, and moderation decisions.

Ormetta uses your device location when you allow location permission. Location is used to show nearby Ormette, place new Ormette, and support location-based safety and discovery features. Ormetta does not use location for advertising.

Photos and user content

Photos and text you upload are used to create, display, moderate, and review Ormette. The Android app recompresses uploaded photos before storage to avoid keeping source image metadata such as EXIF GPS or camera/device fields. Ormetta may reject, hide, delete, or retain content where needed for safety, moderation, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or testing.

Moderation and safety

Ormetta uses server-side moderation and may send uploaded text and images to moderation providers, including OpenAI, to detect sexual content, graphic violence, harassment, hate, self-harm, illegal activity, and other unsafe content. Users can report Ormette and block creators.

Service providers

Ormetta uses Supabase for backend services, authentication, database, storage, Edge Functions, and scheduled cleanup. Ormetta uses Google Maps for map display and location-related app functionality. Ormetta may use OpenAI for content moderation. These providers process data as needed to provide, secure, moderate, and operate the app.

Cookies and tracking

The Ormetta Android app does not use advertising cookies or third-party ad tracking SDKs. These legal pages do not use analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or social media embeds. If this changes, Ormetta will update this policy and request consent where required.

Account deletion and retention

You can delete your Ormetta account in the app or request deletion by email at ormetta@proton.me. When an account is deleted, Ormetta removes the account, profile, Ormette, uploaded photos, text, and related active app data from public and active app systems. Active-system removal can take up to 48 hours.

Ormetta keeps a private deletion archive for 3 days for operational recovery, audit, and cleanup verification. If the account or content was reported, rejected, blocked, or moderation-flagged for safety reasons, Ormetta may keep the private archive for up to 90 days. A manual legal hold may retain a private archive longer only when needed for an active legal, law-enforcement, platform, regulator, or serious safety investigation.

Children

Ormetta is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to Ormetta, contact ormetta@proton.me.

Your choices

You can use device settings to control location, camera, photo, and notification permissions. You can report objectionable Ormette, block creators, log out, or delete your account from the app.
